Welcome to #ReinsuranceMonth 2022

Today marks the start of The Insurer’s #ReinsuranceMonth 2022, during which we will dedicate our coverage to developments in the P&C reinsurance space as the market gears up for next year’s 1.1 renewals.

Over the course of the month we will present exclusive news, intelligence, viewpoints, debate, interviews and analysis focused on the global P&C reinsurance sector.

We will be on the ground in Monte Carlo for the return of the Rendez-Vous de Septembre (RVS) – the largest annual gathering in the sector – during which we will present four daily editions packed with insight into the trends currently dominating the industry agenda.

Alongside this, The Insurer TV team has a packed schedule of televised interviews, panel debates and discussions which we will present to you throughout the month.

The Insurer first established #ReinsuranceMonth in 2020 initially to fill the void left by the cancellation of the Rendez-Vous amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, the popularity of our dedicated month to all things reinsurance has meant it now continues alongside the return of the in-person gathering on the Côte d’Azur.

This year’s #ReinsuranceMonth arrives as the industry faces one of its most complex renewals on record against the backdrop of major macroeconomic uncertainty.

Rampant inflation and rising interest rates are presenting challenges on both sides of the balance sheet, with reinsurers becoming much more discerning about how they deploy capacity as they strive to better manage earnings volatility.

We will examine these and other trends in detail over the next month to provide you with unmatched insight into the critical factors defining the industry’s agenda.
