TWIA denied 10% rate increase as regulator cites Beryl policyholder burden

The Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA) has been denied its request for a 10 percent rate increase by its state regulator, which noted complaints that the insurer of last resort’s policies are “unaffordable”.
