Palomar increases quake and storm reinsurance limits in “complicated” 1.6 renewal

Palomar has added a further $180mn of earthquake limit and $100mn of windstorm protection to its 1 June incepting reinsurance programmes, with the company increasing its cat event retention and removing its co-participation in certain layers on the programmes during a renewal that president Heath Fisher called “complicated”.
