Kessler to become president of Rendez-Vous board as 2,800 attend 2022 gathering
Scor chairman Denis Kessler is to take over as president of the Rendez-Vous de Septembre (RVS) Association.
Kessler has been a member of the association and representative of the French market since 2010.
He will succeed Claude Tendil in the role. Tendil has chaired the association since 2013. He stated at the time of his last re-election in 2020 that he was looking to step down from the role.
The annual Rendez-Vous has returned this year following consecutive postponements in 2020 and 2021 amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The RVS Association said this year’s event had 2,800 registered attendees.
Kessler has continued as chairman of the board at Scor since stepping down as CEO in the summer of 2021. He led the reinsurer for 19 years, having joined the group in 2002, and was widely acclaimed for overseeing its turnaround and building it out into a global reinsurer.
Last October he was also appointed as chairman of Insurance Europe’s Reinsurance Advisory Board.
The Insurer team is out in-force covering this week’s Rendez-Vous in Monte Carlo. If you are attending the event, you can pick up a hard copy of our latest daily edition in the hotels and Casino Square each morning.
