James River shares plunge 30% amid big Uber charge and downgrade expectation

Shares in James River Group Holdings dropped almost 30 percent in early trading in New York today after the insurer last night reported a heavy Q1 operating loss driven by another $170mn of Uber-related reserve charges and warned it now expects to be downgraded from A to A- by AM Best.
