Brindle: ILS in “death spiral” as Fidelis adopts uncompromising 1.1 cat stance

Hurricane Ian has tipped an already precarious property reinsurance market into capacity shortage territory unseen since at least 2005’s Katrina, Rita and Wilma, and may even spell the end for all risks cat cover, according to Fidelis founder and CEO Richard Brindle.
