Fitch warns reserve risk “clouds the earnings picture” for US P&C insurers

Fitch Ratings has warned that persistently high inflation and a slowdown in economic growth introduce the potential for an unfavourable shift in loss reserve adequacy, led by commercial auto and “other liability” product lines.
