German court sides with insurers over lockdown payouts

A court in Germany has handed insurers an important victory in the ongoing battle between the industry and its policyholders over pandemic-related payouts, ruling that a restaurant forced to close during the country’s initial coronavirus lockdowns is not entitled to compensation.
