Allstate plunges to $864mn UW loss in Q2 on spiking inflation

Allstate CEO Tom Wilson touted his company’s “long history of successfully navigating challenging environments” as his company reported an $864mn second quarter underwriting loss, where the insurer said that rising auto severity was “geographically widespread across the United States”.
