Guy Carpenter Symposium set to examine potential role of alternative solutions at 1.1
One of the emerging discussions during #ReinsuranceMonth has focused on the shift away from lower layers by traditional reinsurers, and the need to fill the gaps left by this shift.
This has raised questions around what role alternative solutions can play in the upcoming 1.1 renewals – a topic which will attract further examination during this year’s Guy Carpenter Baden-Baden Reinsurance Symposium.
The annual event will again take place on the first day of this year’s Baden-Baden Reinsurance Meeting, and will be hosted by The Insurer TV’s Sophie Roberts.
Speakers at this year’s event include Lloyd’s CFO Burkhard Keese, Scor CEO Thierry Léger, Guy Carpenter’s CEO for EMEA and global capital solutions Laurent Rousseau, and PGGM senior investment manager Eveline Takken-Somers.
The speakers will examine what form these alternative solutions might take, as well as the current appetite among capital providers to support reinsurance risk.
Discussions will also provide an update on expectations for 2024 renewals, to set the scene ahead of the critical Baden-Baden talks.
The event will take place at Kongresshaus Baden-Baden on Sunday 22 October – to register your interest in attending, please visit the Symposium website.
